Angela Pitts has worked in KM as a librarian, records manager, taxonomist, business analyst, project manager, and product owner in the federal, non-profit, and private sectors for over 15 years. She specializes in the user-centric design of KM solutions that employ customized tools and best practices for Taxonomy, Search, Auto-categorization, Electronic Content/Document/Records Management, and Governance. Angela consulted on a project for the General Services Administration's Office of the CIO (GSA-IT, where she led the design and implementation of the taxonomy that feeds the faceted search in the GSA Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Also, as a member of the GSA Data Steward Working Group, she demonstrated how metadata and governance can be leveraged across GSA data systems to achieve greater interoperability. She optimistically searches for opportunities to explain the many virtues of good electronic records management. She believes you can't manage organizational knowledge without it.
