For the first phase of his career, Jim developed, supported, and managed systems that facilitated the delivery of library services. Later, his experience broadened into enterprise information management, bringing librarian perspectives to intranet portals, content management systems, enterprise taxonomies, and websites. Before joining SmartLogic (now MarkLogic) in 2014, Jim was the vocabulary capability lead for a Pharmaceutical R&D organization. At MarkLogic he continues to advocate and support customers across industries. His special interest is in applying linked data and knowledge graph principles to vocabulary and metadata management.
