Cindy Hill is an experienced corporate library executive and most recently led the Research Library team at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Cindy has worked as an information professional in a variety of industries including environmental, engineering consulting, executive recruiting, high technology and finance and banking.
Cindy is committed to improving literacy and is passionate about continual learning. She volunteered with Vision Literacy to work with incarcerated individuals to improve and strengthen their literacy skills.
Cindy is a past-president of SLA, SLA Fellow and in 2014 received SLA's highest honor, the John Cotton Dana Award. In 2024 she was inducted into SLA's Hall of Fame. Cindy frequently speaks about leadership, innovation and the impact of technology and its potential. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Jose State University.
Cindy is the immediate past president of the Los Altos Library Endowment, to support our community by maintaining a library that meets the needs of everyone.
Her favorite country is Iceland because its rugged terrain was once used by astronauts to train for their Moon landings. Cindy has been to NASA's Space Camp twice.
