Grant is co-founder and Director of Information Leadership, New Zealand’s most respected information and knowledge management consultancy. With co-founder Sarah Heal, they authored their book on IM implementations (see http://flappingtoflying.com/) that has been purchased by over 1500 IM professionals in Australasia. Grant has a degree in Engineering Science and diploma in business. While in senior management positions at a number of utilities, Grant helped these companies to gain business advantage and service improvement through the successful use of new information and knowledge management related technologies and practices. He now helps many organizations create information and knowledge management strategies and roadmaps, along with practical implementation advice and reviews. This has ranged from technology independent assignments at major government agencies to platform specific reviews and strategies at agencies and business enterprises. Grant was instrumental in starting Information Leadership’s very successful SharePoint practice, that focuses on cost effective ECM solutions, that has seen over the last four years a new implementation starting every 2-3 weeks. His key strengths are in quickly understanding the complex and being able to visualise and communicate ways of working and thinking that move the organization forward.
