Ilene Strongin-Garry is Manager: Knowledge Management & Sharing Culture Champion at IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group). She has been with IHG for 15 years. Ilene manages the Knowledge Management function, cultivating a sharing culture across the Enterprise and identifying and procuring Market Intelligence Resources to meet the critical business needs of IHG colleagues across the globe. She is the focal point of access to authoritative information by the business teams. In 2012, Ilene spearheaded the IHG Information and Knowledge Resources Study concluding in March 2013 by providing valuable insight into challenges and opportunities for IHG in the area of information access and knowledge sharing. In 2006, Ilene received the Factiva Leadership Award, given by SLA. Ilene is currently a member of The Conference Board's Information Research Management Council and the Chairperson of SLA's Business & Finance Division's Hospitality & Tourism Roundtable. Ilene holds an MLIS from Clark Atlanta University and the Competitive Intelligence Professional (CIP-I) certificate from the Fuld-Gilad-Herring Academy of Competitive Intelligence. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY, College at Brockport in Recreation & Leisure.
