In 1995 I graduated in civil engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), an institution well-known for its research in several areas. Aiming at the rationalization of the productive processes of buildings, I continued my academic studies for a period of five years, attending specialization courses with majors in production engineering at the University of São Paulo/Fundação Vanzolini, and business administration at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) - both institutions being national references in the fields I have studied.
In a Brazilian real estate company I concurrently developed, for more than ten years, a work oriented to building sites production management with a major in constructive rationalization. In 2007 I started my master's degree at Escola Politécnica de São Paulo - University of São Paulo (USP), which is regarded as the foremost research and scientific contribution center in Brazil. In my master's degree, my research was focused on the technological development of constructive systems. I submitted my thesis in March 2009. That thesis was used as a basis for the Brazilian standard that deals with the theme of my research. This research involved field work with visits to several building sites, as well as interviews with several agents of the production chain, which gave me a broad view of the theme, and the required maturity for the production of a thesis with relevance and scientific consistency. This thesis is currently being used as a model for colleagues entering into the master's program in the technology area. In addition, as a student of a master degree I was able to achieve the maximum score "A" in all disciplines attended.
The acquired knowledge and experience gained over the years, together with continuous academic improvement has led to an appointment with one of the largest and most highly recognized construction companies in Brazil, Tecnisa S/A, with more than 33 years experience in the segment. As the Technological Development Manager I have performed research on new techniques and constructive processes which have increased company efficiency by integrating concepts of sustainability, rationalization and performance. This wide experience has broadened my vision as to the concepts acquired throughout my professional and academic career.
