Murni Shariff is a Senior Manager in charge of Knowledge Management & Institutional Capability, PMU, the E&P Division of PETRONAS. Her team is responsible for creating a workplace where staff competently & innovatively capture, share, reuse and create knowledge through pervasive KM practices & efficient systems/tools. She also drives the design and implementation of conditioning and intervention programs to promote mindset change/behaviour transformation within her organization.
Murni has been actively involved in initiating and driving KM implementation since 2006. She is an active KM resource person, not only in PETRONAS, but in Malaysia. Her organization KM journey has been benchmarked by many public/private sectors in Malaysia including academic institution. She has shared and hosted plenty of KM visits from the industries and have participated as resource person in few KM thesis for PhD and Masters program.
At PETRONAS level, she contributes to other Busines Units in the area of Knowledge Mapping and Strategy, Change Management, Communities of Practice, KM Gap Closure & Interventions, KM competency development.
She is also heavily involved in documenting Business Process Workflows and is embarking into BPM as the way forward towards enhancing operational efficiency
She holds a double degrees in Accounting Information System and Computer Information System from the United States and have about 15 years of experience in ICT implementation and support (mainly SAP systems).
