Patti Anklam is an independent consultant with expertise in collaboration practices, social network analysis, and knowledge management systems strategy and architecture. Patti focuses her personal learning and client work on helping companies understanding their collaborative potential, preparing their organizations for using collaboration software tools, and learning how to identify, create, and nurture networks and communities of practice as a foundation for organizational learning and knowledge transfer. Her clients span a range of industries including biopharmaceuticals, global telecommunications, computer manufacturers, a US government research and development firm, financial services, professional services, and regional economic development agencies.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Patti held director-level positions in knowledge management at Nortel Networks and Digital Equipment Corporation and then Compaq Computer Corporation (now HP).
She is a recognized leader in the field of social network analysis for knowledge management, and is a frequent speaker and writer on the topic. Her book, Net Work: A Practical Guide to Networks at Work and in the World, published in April 2007.
