As Executive Director, Knowledge Management for Grant Thornton LLP’s tax practice, Sally is involved in our tax-specific strategic initiatives. Her role encompasses technology solution requirements definition and design, validation, testing and deployment planning, as well as communications and knowledge management pertaining to these solutions. Sally is most proud of the Tax Symphony® Technology solution, an interactive, SharePoint-based practice management system that integrates with Grant Thornton’s corporate intranet, K-Source.
Sally has over twenty years of experience working in knowledge management roles for high tech companies. Previously, Sally was with Intuit, developing KM strategies and deployed web-based systems and processes to leverage supporting technologies. Sally also worked in an executive knowledge management position for Artificial Life, directing natural language knowledge base development for smart bots used on commercial internet sites. She began her career working for Thomson Financial on Wall Street. Sally has a Masters of Science in Communications Management from Simmons College and a Certificate in Global Leadership from Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management.
