Steve Brantner is the Manager of Learning & Communications at General Mills. He leads employee intranet and employee communications strategy for Human Resources. His role recently expanded to include making learning more social, digital, and global at General Mills and among other projects is managing the implementation and rollout of a global enterprise 2.0 platform. Prior to joining General Mills in February of 2002, Steve was Communications Director for the Wayzata Public School District in suburban Minneapolis where he led public relations, media relations and government relations efforts for this 10,000 student district. Steve also has experience managing customer marketing in the financial services industry and communications, public relations and advertising in the software industry. In addition to his corporate experience, Steve is has published a book and holds a B.A. from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
