Lieutenant colonel Alberto Rodríguez Cruz is the Chief of Knowledge Management for U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC). As the Chief of Knowledge Management, LTC Rodriguez is responsible for the overall Knowledge Management strategy, planning, and implementation. Influence and lead change in the organization by optimize the integration and functioning of the organization's components (personnel, technology, and processes).
Prior to becoming the Chief of Knowledge Management for USARPAC, LTC Rodriguez graduated from the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA where he obtained a Master of Strategic Studies. He also served as the Deputy, Operations Officer, 8th Theater Sustainment Command at Fort Shafter, HI, and as Simulation Manager at the Logistics Exercise and Simulations Directorate, Fort Lee, VA.
LTC Rodríguez has served in numerous staff and leadership positions throughout his career both CONUS and OCONUS to include: Fire Support Officer, 3-7th Field Artillery Battalion, 25th ID, Hawaii; Company XO, Supply Platoon Leader and SSA OIC, 725th Main Support Battalion, 25th ID, Hawaii; Group Plans Officer, 7th Corps Support Group, Germany; HHD Company Commander, 71st Corps Support Battalion, Germany; BN S4, 3-347th Regiment, Florida; and as Brigade Operations Officer, 45th Sustainment Brigade, Schofield Barracks, HI. He has deployed once to Kosovo in 2002; and twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2006.
LTC Rodriguez is a Distinguished Military Graduate from University of Puerto Rico ROTC program, earning a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice (Summa Cum Laude) from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico; a M.A. in Public Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from Bowie State University, Maryland; and most recently a Master in Strategic Studies from US Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.
His professional military education includes the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course; Supply and Service Management Officer Course; Combined Logistics Captain Career Course; Combined Arms Service Staff School; Support Operations Course; Petroleum Officer Course; Simulations Operation Course; Command and General Staff College-Intermediate Level Education at the Western Hemisphere Institute For Security Cooperation; Joint Logistics Course; Contracting Officer Representative; Capabilities Development Course; Lean Six Sigma -Green Belt; Army Force Management Course; Airborne and Air Assault School.
