Ismail currently leads the Knowledge Technology Program at The Global Knowledge and Learning Office of the IFC. The office serves as the business sponsor for Enterprise Search, Intranet (Renewal) Project, Social Collaboration and Documents Management. She leads business engagement with staff on these projects and serves on a working group for data access management. 

Her previous careers involved working on international economic development projects in Africa and Southeast Asia as well as the development of information technology and telecom policies and strategies in sub-saharan Africa and the MENA region.
