Carla Sapsford Newman is the director of her own consultancy since 2008, Strategic Knowledge Partners, and is based in Houston. Working with energy as well as aerospace and pharma clients, she provides strategic KM consultancy services specializing in tacit knowledge retention. With 20 years experience as a journalist and communications specialist, Carla brings a unique practical enquiry-based approach to her work. She was formerly on the management team at Malaysia's Business FM 89.9 for seven years and a Senior Counsellor at APCO Worldwide in Singapore. After working at the Dutch multinational ABN AMRO, she began her KM consultancy work at Shell Global Solutions before moving to Unilever. Carla received her M.A. in Journalism and her M.S. in International Affairs from Columbia University in 2003. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Wellesley College in 1995.
