Jasper Lavertu is Knowledge Management Specialist at Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyards where he enthusiastically tries to get the right knowledge, at the right time, to the right person - to make it all easier for the knowledge workers so they have more time for the fun stuff.

He has over 10 year experience in complex, multidisciplinary, innovative technical environments, focusing on knowledge management and project management for most of his career.

He participated in the Knowledge Management Excellence Awards at the European Conference on Knowledge Management in 2016 - ECKM is the longest running Academic KM Conference in Europe - and was awarded a certificate of merit for his case history - describing the design of a successful KM strategy. Additionally he had a paper published describing how teamwork in projects and disciplines can be optimised and controlled by developing and implementing KM tools and methods.

Furthermore he organised the Feadship Future Lab Innovation Symposium where hundred of Feadship's top talents gathered to explore the future. He also developed, organised and implemented various other KM initiatives - like a comprehensive method for capturing the engineer's valuable knowledge, lessons learned system, knowledge repository and ‘coffee break sessions' (informal knowledge lectures during coffee breaks), to name but a few.
