Onkar Chandel is a Global Knowledge Management Lead at Red Hat. He provides visionary KM leadership to Red Hat Services and leads long term KM planning with internal leaders. He defines KM strategy and spearhead organizational KM changes. He started Red Hat Services KM program in Sept 2012 and led it to deliver 20 KM initiatives including eight of ten KMI recommended initiatives and win Global KM Awards for Best KM Strategy in 2017. He extended Red Hat’s open source software concept and defined ‘Open Source KM Strategy’ that helped Red Hat Services make bigger impact with fewer resources and introduce change faster through community involvement. He introduced artificial intelligence and open content management to take technology and community involvement in knowledge management farther. Onkar has 25 years of software industry experience and holds MS in computer applications and CKM certification from KMI. He lives in a Washington, D.C. suburb.
