Willem Manders’ background is industrial engineering and management science. After starting his career in Shell in financial consulting (investment appraisals, planning), project management and business development, he worked as strategic innovation manager in Shell’s GameChanger program for six years. Objective of this program was identifying, developing and scaling-up step-out new business opportunities. The last five years Willem has been working in the learning & development organization to support building the right organizational capability. As global KM manager for Shell he has been successfully leading the KM program and is currently leading the transition from KM as a implementation program to KM as an embedded organizational capability in Shell.
