Hanan Al Mheiri is one of the female pioneers in the United Arab Emirates who explored the domain of Knowledge Management as a practitioner in the government sector. Hanan Al Mheiri have more than 12 years of professional experience in the domain of Knowledge Management. She joined Dubai Police during her internship and General Commander Dhai Khalfan Tamim was impressed by her achievements and therefore, she was invited on board the Dubai Police as a head of unit in the Knowledge Management Department. Hanan worked for the Dubai Police for four years and won the second-best employee award in 2010. Mrs Al Mheiri joined Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in 2011 at the Knowledge Management Department and recently won two awards:

·        Internal Award - Divisional Level (Innovation & The Future Division/ Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) - Specialized Category 1st Place 

·        Internal Award - Corporate Level (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) - Specialized Category 1st Place (Company size 13 K approx.)

Hanan also maintains several professional memberships and certifications, including Certified Knowledge Manager and Certified Professional Trainer as she trains professionals on various areas of knowledge management capabilities.

She started her PhD journey in 2011 in the same domain but more concerned with “Investigating the Impact of Organisational Culture on Knowledge Sharing Behaviour”. Hanan presented her work with regards Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing at many international conferences around the world, in addition to other conferences on the topic of empowering women as a key speaker. Hanan published 5 academic journals and conference proceeding and 2 publications books’ sections. Hanan earned about 58 awards, recognitions, and appreciations during her professional career.
