Charles Lagor, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., is a Principal Biomedical Informaticist at Semedy. He provides strategic knowledge management (KM) and informatics leadership within the company. In addition, he designs and implements information models for new KM use cases. Furthermore, he contributes to Semedy’s research and development efforts. Dr. Lagor has a rich healthcare and industry experience. Prior to joining Semedy, he was a Senior Director of Data Science at ConcertAI, where he collaborated with the product team on prototypes that were integrated into a suite of analytic tools. As a Senior Medical Informatician at Partners Healthcare, he was responsible for co-developing the Clinical Decision Support (CDS) life-cycle, supporting the electronic medical record application teams in their implementation, and shaping Partners’ CDS strategy. He worked in the Innovation Group at Philips Home Monitoring, where he co-developed a population health management solution for the post-acute healthcare market. Furthermore, he has a strong industry research background, having led CDS projects at Philips Research. He holds an M.D. degree from the University of Vienna, a Ph.D. degree in Medical Informatics from the University of Utah, and a Healthcare M.B.A. degree from Simmons College in Massachusetts.
