Tim Wood Powell is president of The Knowledge Agency® (www.KnowledgeAgency.com), a management research and consulting firm he founded in 1996. He is recognized as an innovative thought leader and organizational catalyst in the economics and strategy of knowledge and intelligence. His "value of knowledge" research has been presented to business and professional audiences on four continents.
Tim has advised more than 100 organizations in a range of industries, including Abbott Laboratories, Altria, American Express, Cigna, Experian, Highmark BCBS, KPMG, Petrobras, PwC, Revlon, Sony, New York State, the US Navy, John Wiley, and Xerox.
In addition to many articles, Tim has authored four business books, including his latest, "The Value of Knowledge" (De Gruyter, 2020). He blogs at Competing in the Knowledge Economy (www.KnowledgeValueChain.com). He has taught at the graduate level at Columbia University and the Palmer School of LIU, and is a Senior Fellow at The Conference Board. He holds a BA from Yale College and an MBA from Yale School of Management.
