Navig8 PD
formerly Director, Professional Development, Goodmans LLP
Sandra Montanino is the founder and principal of Navig8 PD, a training, education, and consulting company focused on helping people develop the skills necessary to navigate the workplace for professional success.
She founded Navig8 PD with the purpose of infusing 8 foundational principles into all professional skills training: curiosity, awareness, intention, inclusion & belonging, purpose, empowerment, communication, and wellness. She leads workshops and programs on various interpersonal, communication and leadership topics such as inclusive mentoring, sponsorship, giving and receiving feedback, goal setting, delegation, managing teams, real-time conversation skills, effective writing, and building performance habits. She is driven by a desire to help others decode workplace norms, expectations, and structures for more equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environments.
Sandra has her business degree from Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario as well as her law degree from Queen's University. She is also a certified DISC and Motivators practitioner. Prior to Navig8 PD, Sandra was the Director of Professional Development at a Toronto Bay Street law firm where, for over 17 years, she oversaw, managed, and developed the firm's substantive, wellness, diversity and inclusion, leadership and all skills-based development programs for law students, lawyers, and business clients. She also created the first-of-its-kind gamified experiential learning program, focused on skill integration through just-in-time feedback, social and group learning, relationship building, constructive reframing and individualized support. She has both private practice and in-house counsel experience.
Sandra regularly mentors and coaches individuals on their professional and career goals as well as their development needs.
