Edwin K. Morris is inspired by the journey of innovation, creativity, and active learning. As a perceptive and insightful innovator, Edwin is driven by the fundamental question of "Why?". This inquisitive nature compels him to challenge the status quo and envision what things could be. He has a diverse background as a non-profit leader, forester, podcaster, small business owner, an infantry soldier and military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, 2 x Iraq war veteran, and a contractor for the U.S. Army, which has help to shape his mindset.

This same curiosity led him to establish Pioneer Knowledge Services® (PKS), the nation's first knowledge management charity. At PKS, we are pioneering a framework to support nonprofit organizations in fostering and sustaining knowledge cultures. Our focus is on understanding how organizational cultures are influenced by and can effectively practice knowledge management, particularly in terms of learning, retention, knowledge availability, utilization, and flow. This led to the successful podcast program of Because You Need to Know®, and serves our 501C3 knowledge management public education mission. The collaborative environment we are encouraging through PKS offers unique opportunities for direct research and experimental settings. In such a conversational exchange, the organic element of trust in communication and among individuals and groups play a crucial role.
