KMWorld 2021 Will Be Held Virtually

Just a few months ago, we seemed to be on a path to return to Washington, DC for our first in-person KMWorld conference in two years. Our planners, speakers, and community were all very excited to see everyone face-to-face again. Unfortunately, it now seems there continues to be too many obstacles in our way for us to overcome. We have recently made the decision that we will not be able to host KMWorld 2021 as an in-person event.

We deeply appreciate your support of KMWorld and your understanding that we have made every effort to host KMWorld 2021.

We are, however, excited to move forward with planning for KMWorld Connect 2021. Given the successes and experiences of our previous virtual events, we are now prepared to make KMWorld 2021 our best virtual conference ever. The virtual conference will be held, as scheduled, the week of November 15 - 18, 2021 with workshops on Friday, November 12 and Friday, November 19.

KMWorld Connect 2021 will provide practical advice, inspiring thought leadership, and access to in-depth training and workshops on how KM and related disciplines can provide enormous value for your organization and transform your business.

This year's conference theme, Knowledge Sharing in the Age of New Technologies, focuses on culture, people processes, and the many different types of technologies supporting organizations as they excel in their industries.

KMWorld Connect 2021, and its co-located events — Taxonomy Boot Camp Connect, Enterprise Search & Discovery Connect and Text Analytics Forum Connect — will showcase organizations who have creative digital strategies for their future. Do I need to cancel my hotel reservation?

Attendees who booked through Meeting and Travel Consultants (MTC), the official housing bureau, do not have to cancel their reservation. Reservations made within the official room block will be canceled automatically. If you booked outside of the official room block you are responsible for canceling your own reservation. 

Do I need to cancel other travel arrangements?

Yes. We encourage you to cancel any travel plans you may have made on your own for KMWorld .

I am a registered attendee, do I need to cancel my registration?

No, you do not need to cancel your registration. We have reached out to all registered attendees with additional information.

I am a speaker, do I need to cancel my participation?
