KMWorld 2024: Unlocking Powerful Knowledge-Sharing Solutions

The KMWorld conference, the largest global gathering of KM thought leaders, practitioners, and authors, returns to Washington, D.C., this November. Conference chair Jane Dysart believes that the human side of knowing has always been at the center of enterprise KM intelligence, programs, and strategies. Hence this year’s theme—KM & Enterprise Intelligence: Human or Artificial?

As AI and other technological innovations transform the way we learn, collaborate, and innovate, people are still key to knowledge sharing and bringing opportunities to excel within enterprise processes and operations. At the 2023 KMWorld conference, we were excited about the possibilities for AI in knowledge sharing and were urged to move fast in experimenting with it to find enterprise solutions.

Shared Expertise

The past year has seen a tsunami research, trials, and opportunities for AI. Our 2024 KMWorld speakers, industry leaders, and AI developers share their experiences, tips, and thoughts for the use and future of AI. Shared across our many topic streams, you will find experts on technologies that affect KM, such as taxonomies, GenAI, knowledge graphs, and language models. Speakers are often the agents of change within their organizations, willing to elaborate on their ideas and tips for managing enterprise content. But it’s not just technology. We have experts on the human side as well. Interested in change management, team building, fostering a collaborative culture, or the future of work? KMWorld has you covered.

Speaking of experts, KMWorld also features a bookstore, where you can pick up copies of books written by authorities in the field.

We have more than 15 wonderful keynote speakers, including two who reflect our theme, artificial and human intelligence. Louis Rosenberg, CEO of Unanimous.AI and author of Our Next Reality: How the AI-Powered Metaverse Will Reshape the World, is a lifelong technologist, earning his Ph.D. from Stanford University in the early 1990s. He was a professor at California State University in the early 2000s and has been focused on enabling collective superintelligence for the last decade. He offers up his insights and ideas for enterprises looking for ways to share knowledge within their organizations.

Dan Pontefract, founder & CEO, Pontefract Group, and author of many books, including Work Life Bloom and Flat Army, discusses how every voice counts in an enterprise so teams can thrive and succeed. A practitioner for many years, he emphasizes the power of inclusive engagement and collaborative curiosity and unveils essential techniques to cultivate a culture where every voice is valued and heard. Gain expert tips on creating an environment where collaboration prospers, every team member feels genuinely valued, and the opportunity to bloom is open to all. KM practitioners Kim Glover and Cindy Hubert sum up our roster of keynote speakers with their insights on KM, AI, leadership, and expertise.

And don’t forget our co-located conferences. You can benefit from learning about the latest developments in taxonomies and ontologies at Taxonomy Boot Camp, the ins and outs of analytics at Text Analytics Forum, and the newest iterations of search at Enterprise Search & Discovery. Moreover, our Enterprise AI World conference is back for its second year at KMWorld.

You will hear how our practitioners are unleashing their search and discovery superpowers to enable their corporations to find information across data silos, improve productivity, and accelerate enterprise processes. Text analytics pros share new synergies and solutions to add depth, meaning, and intelligence to any organization’s most underutilized resource—text.
