A2iA: DocumentReader
A2iA DocumentReader™
is the first-ever automated data capture and keyword-spotting software for structured and unstructured documents, allowing for the classification and extraction of large volumes of handwritten letters and loosely structured fields within forms. By understanding how documents are used and what role they play, the advanced handwriting recognition capabilities of A2iA DocumentReader provide for powerful information gathering for paper-intensive businesses.

Classification and Extraction of all Types of Paper Documents A2iA DocumentReader classifies digitized documents into "categories" (letters, identity papers, contracts, etc.) based on their geometry and content. The accompanying documents are also analyzed to gain a holistic view of the entire package, which determines the documents’ classification. After A2iA DocumentReader performs a literal transcription of the handwritten and/or typed areas, it extracts and recognizes paragraphs or keywords, allowing document-processing applications to classify the document and extract information.
