The BA Insight Knowledge Integration Platform transforms SharePoint into a powerful unified information access platform that enables organizations to rapidly deploy search-driven applications at a fraction of the cost, time, and risk of alternatives. It consists of three software engines that provide a comprehensive set of capabilities:

• User Experience Engine—drives remarkable user experiences for finding and exploring knowledge or experts via an extensible engine and a library of powerful components. • Content Classification Engine—increases findability using auto-tagging, metadata generation, and text analytics. Smart Mapping automatically maps metadata to managed properties and provides dataset lookup to external sources in order to ?augment and normalize fields.
• Content Connectivity Engine—provides secure connectivity to a wide variety of content systems to enable unified views of all knowledge assets. It manages sophisticated security scenarios, maps security entitlements from source systems into the search system, and ensures that results are trimmed to expose only the content the user has access to. Over 50 connectors are available to a wide variety of systems.
