New BI on-demand solution powered by SAP HANA

SAP has introduced SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence OnDemand, powered by SAP HANA. The solution enables companies to analyze data in real time cost-effectively, according to SAP.

Reporting and ad hoc detailed analyses are a challenge for companies without a business intelligence (BI) infrastructure, and even more challenging for companies using on-demand applications. With the new solution, SAP says, customers can answer questions and interact with complete data at the speed of thought. SAP adds that users gain deeper insights about sales, customers and pipelines from any source, including on-demand applications for sales and human resources.

SAP HANA is said to perform analyses on the fly, without the need to define rigid data models and aggregations ahead of time. The SAP HANA application cloud allows customers to get up and running in minutes to support huge amounts of data. As the data grows, customers can add more reporting scenarios without a major investment in IT, SAP says.
