Ensuring consistent, current content across channels

Macmillan Cancer Support has chosen a global information management solution to centralize the creation, handling and delivery of patient information for its online and offline channels. The organization chose the SDL Tridion solution, which is designed to enhance the speed and efficiency of generating dynamic, relevant content.

SDL reports that it will provide Macmillan Cancer Support with a consolidated content control platform to help create and maintain its website and more than 100 different types of literature, and to ensure that the people the organization supports receive relevant, up-to-date information.

Anna Leibowitz, information development manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, says, “Our information creation, management and distribution methods were old-fashioned, inefficient and time-consuming. The management of information for people affected by cancer was also unstructured and disconnected. It was a challenge to ensure consistent, current information across all of our channels. We now possess a flexible solution that allows us to author, present, publish and update our information quickly, easily and cost-effectively.”

The goal of Macmillan Cancer Support is to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
