Insurance company works with OnBase as part of technology transformation
Pekin Insurance, a provider of insurance in Illinois, has selected OnBase, an enterprise information platform, as part of its technology transformation plan.
Pekin is taking a total technology approach to its IT modernization project, implementing OnBase alongside other new core insurance platforms, choosing to host all applications in the cloud. OnBase will act as the content services platform, helping eliminate data silos and bring data to the forefront to access and manage content to streamline business operations and provide the best customer service.
As part of the modernization process, Pekin will leverage multiple data import methods within OnBase to capture inbound data and documents, through a central repository, and connect information for employees and independent agents across their home office and hundreds of agency locations in six states.
Once captured, the OnBase Accelerators for Guidewire will allow the insurer to access, view, query, and re-index information from within the familiar Guidewire interface—providing employees with the information they need, when and where they need it, to provide the best service to its customers.
Pekin’s mission is to provide financial protection and peace of mind to its customers by delivering innovation and excellence in its products and services, said Subhasis Mukherjee, vice president and chief information officer at Pekin. To achieve this goal, the company must partner with leading solution providers such as Hyland to evolve its processes and ensure it is ahead of the curve delivering the products our customers need."
Pekin is currently exploring the next phase of its OnBase expansion determining what other departments will benefit from core content services capabilities such as capture, workflow and contract management. Additionally, it is exploring the ShareBase integration, for cloud-based document sharing capabilities.
