Processing bank loans more efficiently

Asia United Bank (AUB) in the Philippines is enhancing its loan processing systems, as well as customer service, with a new business process management (BPM) solution. The bank has chosen Global 360’s persona-based process and case management software.

AUB’s core banking systems were having difficulty supporting the bank’s changing requirements for consumer and commercial loan processing operations. Acquisitions over the past few years had intensified the challenge of unifying business operations throughout the growing enterprise while meeting regulations and compliance requirements.

Wilfredo Rodriguez Jr., director of IT at AUB, says, “Asia United Bank continually strives to better serve its customers, and as we looked at what our staff were doing on a daily basis and where the bottlenecks were, it became clear that an out-of-the-box application was not adequate to help us improve service and efficiency. We started out thinking we just needed to go paperless, but Global 360 helped us realize we needed a process and case management platform to improve our end-to-end processes while at the same time managing documents.

“Global 360’s case management platform will lead us to substantial business improvements and ultimately better service, as we continue to grow and help our customers achieve their financial goals. We anticipate a major improvement in efficiency.”

According to a recent press release from Global 360, the solution will allow staff to collaborate, access and modify loan information, as well as track the loan production process to determine its true costs.

Global 360 reports that AUB has identified as many as 200 processes beyond loan processing that will benefit from the case management solution.
