Publisher chooses new DAM platform
De Gruyter Group, which includes the humanities and natural sciences academic publishing house, has chosen a new platform for digital asset management (DAM) and distribution. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, De Gruyter has deployed CoreSource from the Ingram Content Group.
Ben Ashcroft, director of sales for De Gruyter, says, “By using a full range of digital content solutions from Ingram, De Gruyter can focus our time and resources on the development of the best content for today’s dynamic market. Our agreement and use of the CoreSource platform means that we can respond to the needs of existing customers more quickly, while opening up our content to a range of new distributors and readers.”
De Gruyter will use the platform to expand distribution and reach new booksellers worldwide. The platform provides De Gruyter and its distributed publisher clients with a comprehensive and scalable distribution infrastructure, according to Ingram Content.
The move to the CoreSource platform allows De Gruyter to focus more of its time on academic publishing excellence and content development, while Ingram will handle the complexities of content management, logistics and worldwide distribution, it reports.
