Thomson Reuters has been awarded a long-term contract to provide its legal research and investigative technology tools to Department of Justice (DOJ) professionals.

In all, more than 25,000 users will have access to Thomson Reuters products under this agreement.

U.S. Attorneys and other legal professionals across the DOJ will have access to legal products and services, including Westlaw Edge, Practical Law, Litigation Analytics and Drafting Assistant, to offer efficiency and accuracy throughout the department’s efforts to ensure the fair and impartial administration of justice.

The contract also calls for CLEAR to be available to authorized users across DOJ agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, among others.

CLEAR is a public records and information service used by law enforcement and investigative professionals to investigate fraud, money-laundering and other crimes, as well as to locate people, businesses and assets. CLEAR is powered by billions of data points and leverages cutting-edge public records technology to bring all key content together in a customizable dashboard. The user-friendly platform was designed with intuitive navigation and simple filtering parameters to support search across thousands of datasets.

“We are honored to be of continued service to DOJ professionals and to contribute to their mission to provide public safety, prevent and investigate crime, and administer justice,” said Steve Rubley, president of Thomson Reuters Government segment.
