Women’s health site revamps CMS
A Web site dedicated to providing information about women’s health has implemented a new content management system (CMS) to enrich the site and make content more easily accessible. LifeScript has deployed Sitecore's Web CMS solutions to import a large volume of existing and external content feeds, and to organize the information into vertical channels to meet the needs of users better.
A small team of editors and designers manage more than 150,000 content assets for LifeScript, which attracts over 4 million unique visitors monthly. Editors can now create and update content for 75 channels and subchannels manually or automatically using taxonomy tagging. The solution offers visitors relevant articles, tips and tools, and improves search capabilities, according to Sitecore. The new system is also said to increase advertising revenues by placing more appropriate ads next to editorial content.
"This project was a huge success, and Sitecore played a key role in allowing us to create a content-rich site for our readers," says Jack Hogan, COO for LifeScript. "With a seamless transition between content management systems, we were able to maintain traffic flow while revamping the site. Our Web site is now a fast and easy resource for women to find, share and use health information in their daily lives. Sitecore will take us well into the future and help us maintain a top site for women’s health."
