A boost for rights licensing
The rights-licensing organization Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) has acquired Pubget, which provides solutions focused on expediting the acquisition and analysis of content.
Founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit organization, CCC provides solutions to enable businesses and academic institutions to quickly get permission to use copyright-protected materials, while compensating publishers and content creators for the use of their works. Pubget offers search, retrieval and browse capabilities for content. The company claims its solutions make research more efficient by simplifying the process of finding, managing and analyzing information. Pubget reports it served more than 5 million researchers and 500 research centers in 2011.
