AvePoint Introduces DocAve Governance Automation Service Pack 8

AvePoint has announced the general availability of DocAve Governance Automation Service Pack (SP) 8. Providing a single governance system that allows businesses to manage the latest SharePoint versions, including SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2013, and SharePoint Online, DocAve Governance Automation allows organizations to manage and automate SharePoint lifecycle and permissions management requests to implement an extensible governance strategy.

According to the vendor, SP 8, offers three key capabilities: support for SharePoint 2016, a new mobile app for Android and iOS, and Pattern Deployment Integration for deploying pre-configured business templates.

Giving users the resources they need while reducing IT workload and meeting governance objectives, DocAve Governance Automation SP 8 introduces support for SharePoint 2016 across all service types and functions, allowing organizations to ensure that all of their SharePoint environments, including on premises, cloud, and hybrid, can take advantage of automated services, approval processes, and reporting.

SP 8 also introduces the DocAve Governance Automation Mobile App, a new mobile application for Android and iOS devices to allow approvers to view, assess, and act on Governance Automation-related requests from anywhere at any time, minimizing any impact on user productivity.

And finally, with the addition of SP 8, to ensure that complex templates can be created and deployed in a timely fashion within SharePoint, there is a new capability called Pattern Deployment Integration. This allows users to request fully configured business application templates – known as “patterns” – created with DocAve Deployment Manager as part of their standard site and site collection requests.
