AvePoint enhances DocAve Policy Enforcer

AvePoint has integrated the new Microsoft Office 365 Management Activity API into DocAve Policy Enforcer. AvePoint says integration creates a new information stream that allows customers to fully audit and take action on all events that take place throughout their Office 365 environments.

As part of DocAve Administrator and the DocAve Software Platform, DocAve Policy Enforcer helps organizations rapidly respond to unauthorized modifications to SharePoint configurations, security and management. The company explains by continuously monitoring and taking action on SharePoint environments (whether hosted on premises or on Office 365), DocAve Policy Enforcer ensures that all changes fall within an organization’s defined governance policies.

AvePoint says Policy Enforcer allows organizations to:

• ensure all events in a SharePoint environment remain within policy and under control by monitoring them around the clock and automatically adjusting settings and configurations across existing environments, whether hosted on premises or on Office 365;
• enforce governance and guidance by controlling configurations, security and management with configurable rules; and
• implement enterprise policies to evolving information architecture by configuring the organization’s own rules and integrating more than 40 different event triggers using a rules software development kit.
