MicroStrategy releases Version 10

MicroStrategy has announced that its biggest release in more than 15 years is now generally available. The company claims MicroStrategy 10 is the first analytics platform that combines enterprise functionality with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface and it combines traditional business intelligence functionality with data discovery, mobile analytics and deep enterprise security.

MicroStrategy highlights the following new features and functionality in Version 10:

• a completely redesigned HTML5 user interface,
• rich and intuitive tools for “on-the-fly” data preparation,
• in-memory analytics,
• simpler access to a wide variety of data sources (including a connector for Hadoop), and
• an Operations Manager tool that provides a centralized interface for platform administration.
