Birst Enhances its Networked BI Platform

Birst, a provider of cloud BI and analytics, is unveiling a host of new capabilities for a variety of its solutions that will empower enterprises and users to work with data in new and faster ways while maintaining governance. The new updates will affect Birst’s Networked BI Platform, including Birst Mobile for Android, Collaboration, and End-User Data Preparation.

The Networked BI Platform creates a network of interwoven BI instances that share a common analytical fabric, eliminating data silos to ensure collaboration and accelerate the delivery of BI across the enterprise.

The new enhancements allow Birst to deliver the end-user ease-of-use and governance capabilities necessary for enterprise-wide analytics. Users can glean insights on their own while also staying networked and connected to other users. This eliminates the siloes that emerge from analyzing data on a desktop and ensures one seamless connection.

“Taking some modern approaches to the way people interact today in their daily life, like social media, discussion threads, and things people are used to doing today, and apply that to enterprise software, you create something we call collaboration,”  said Southard Jones, vice president of product strategy at Birst.

Additionally, Birst Mobile for Android enables global audiences to access the same data whether on a desktop, laptop or mobile. Offline capabilities automatically sync data and content so business users can view mobile analytics even when not connected.

“We will continue to enhance our data prep capabilities by adding more and more capabilities,” Jones said.
