Alberta-based law firm selects new NetDocuments document and email management cloud platform
Alberta-based law firm McLeod Law LLP has selected NetDocuments for its document and email management platform. The firm is transitioning to the cloud-based integrated platform for document and email management.
NetDocuments provides a cloud-based content services and workflow platform for the legal industry. Complete with state-of-the-art built-in security, compliance, and governance solutions, NetDocuments offers document management, email management, and collaboration technology with disaster recovery, enterprise search, and matter centricity features.
To address stringent document location requirements, the law firm will use the NetDocuments ndFlexStore to physically store documents and emails in the cloud, in Microsoft Azure data centers, in local on-premise stores, or in any combination while simultaneously leveraging NetDocuments' global cloud platform.
The firm completed an evaluation of several document management systems (DMS) technologies and as a result, selected NetDocuments. The user-friendly interface will increase user-adoption while reducing training requirements, the law firm states.
“Beyond being a DMS, NetDocuments will make our lawyers more mobile, allowing them to access a clients’ entire file history at their fingertips,” said managing partner Robin Lokhorst. “This will give us a strategic advantage when it comes to court and being out-of-office. It will also help reduce time spent searching for precedents or clauses and will make us much more effective and efficient.”
