Solix, the provider of cloud data management and AI solutions, is unveiling Solix ECS, an affordable, all-in-one solution engineered to combat legacy paper and file management systems preventing many organizations from truly modernizing.

The struggle to maximize data and the content from which it’s sourced is a prevalent challenge for today’s businesses. Rampant content silos—typically full of unstructured data—not only makes it difficult to discover content but also impacts the ability to apply uniformed data governance and adhere to compliance regulations. This is only further complicated by the push for AI, where these initiatives are punished by a lack of available, organized data.

Responding to this inefficiency, Solix ECS offers advanced cloud and AI capabilities to transform an enterprise’s document management structure—which is particularly valuable to content-overloaded industries such as the finance sector.

The platform offers a multitude of integration and migration capabilities that enable businesses to bring in data from collaboration suites—such as Microsoft or Google—ERP systems, or third party, external users, cultivating a central repository of information across every workload.

“What we've done is we've ensured that this platform is able to offer this unified storage across departments, across workloads, across applications, across processes,” explained Kalyan Manyam, VP of enterprise content platforms at Solix. “[We want to] help them [enterprises] really consolidate all of their data into a single common repository.”

The platform introduces an array of automated processes that streamline document management, all at an affordable cost—just $99/month for teams up to 50. Businesses pay for storage, not for users, empowering AI-based content management for companies of all sizes, across a variety of use cases, according to Solix. By rejecting the traditional pay-per-user pricing model, Solix ECS reduces discovery friction by eliminating the need to duplicate documents for the users outside of the pay-per-user bubble.

“The first thing that we wanted to get out of the way was to remove the whole per-user licensing model so that they [enterprises] can stop worrying about who all needs to have access and what it's going to cost to ensure everybody who's going to benefit from this process is a part of that,” said Manyam. “They should be able to have access to this data without having to worry about what additional cost it's going to have.”

Other key features of Solix ECS include:

  • Cloud-based, low-cost storage and management system, featuring role-based access for authorized users anywhere, anytime
  • AI-powered, high speed document processing for data extraction, classification, searching, and insights
  • Automated, error-free document collection from users and applications
  • Secure sharing and collaboration across large file transfers, client portals, annotations, and more
  • Advanced data protection, including AES 256-bit encryption, redundant storage, real-time backups, advanced access controls, and various compliance certifications such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR
  • Advanced search and metadata management with custom tagging
  • File and email archiving to reduce costs of management and produce a secure repository of historical information
  • Detailed audit trails and reporting to ensure compliance
  • Easily meet compliance demands with efficient records management, retention policies, and more

“What we have clearly observed is that even when organizations are trying to modernize their document management stack, they're actually creating more silos on the cloud with the adoption of various technologies,” noted Manyam. “[We want] to address that by creating this open, yet secure and compliant cloud document management [platform].”
