Mimecast’s acquisition of Code42 expands human-centered security risk management

Mimecast, the global Human Risk Management (HRM) platform, has acquired Code42, the insider threat management and data loss prevention company, with the goal of integrating Code42’s technology with Mimecast’s human-centered security risk management. 

Code42’s cloud native, market-leading insider threat management and data loss prevention technology helps organizations secure their critical data against threats such as exposure, loss, leak, and theft. Designed to help accelerate response times to various data incidents, the acquisition will bring these visibility and strategic insight capabilities to the Mimecast portfolio.

This acquisition affirms Mimecast’s mission to solve for human risk with its HRM platform and Mimecast Engage solutions, underpinned by its global threat intelligence network and extensive machine learning (ML) technology. Code42’s Incydr product will fit into Mimecast’s product portfolio, now available for sale to Mimecast customers with plans for integration into the Mimecast platform.
