Certinia’s Summer 2024 release massively expands on scalable efficiencies for technology and services companies

Certinia, the platform for services business and formerly known as FinancialForce, is debuting its Summer 2024 release, introducing a variety of enhancements to the Professional Services (PS) Cloud and Customer Success (CS) Cloud solutions. Certinia’s latest release focuses on features that allow customers to achieve enterprise-level scalability, drive professional services and customer success efficiencies, and unlock the value of AI.

“We’ve listened to our customers and incorporated a bevy of new features designed to make resource management, estimation, financial, and accounting workflows more efficient, precise, and collaborative,” said Raju Malhotra, chief product and technology officer at Certinia. “This release furthers our commitment to ensure technology and services organizations can keep moving forward with certainty.”

Certinia’s PS Cloud solution now benefits from new capabilities that serve to accelerate resource management at scale, as well as improve productivity. These new features include:

  • Resource shortlisting available through an inclusive workflow that automates and tracks selection and decision making across key stakeholders, making the staff assignment process more visible and scalable, further offering insights into selection patterns
  • Mass Actions for Project Resource Requests, reducing the repetitive work associated with resource assignment for large-scale projects, enabling resource managers to assign multiple resources with one click and make consistent updates to several requests at once
  • Demand-side resource requests drive greater transparency for staffing and more accurate forecasting with granular insights regarding capacity and demand planning, allowing customers to find the right resources for the required schedule and retain that schedule while they un-assign resources

CS Cloud also sees significant enhancements, centered on optimizing team productivity, improving customer health monitoring, and ensuring seamless value tracking, according to Certinia. Now, customers benefit from the editable Success Tracker—a way for Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to directly edit tasks, dates, resources, and statuses—as well as the Activity Tracker—which now supports the centralized creation and editing of customer insights by anyone engaging with the customer. Each of these improvements serves to provide a more intuitive user experience, according to the company.

Additionally, CS Cloud now offers Account Health Score, which helps teams comprehend customer health through a customer segment-defined heat map and capabilities for account segmentation and automated action triggers. On top of this expansion to customer health monitoring, CS Cloud now captures customer objectives and KPIs from the sales cycle end-to-end, ensuring no valuable information is lost, as well as avoiding duplication.

Taking advantage of the bustling space of generative AI (GenAI), Certinia’s Summer 2024 release features new GenAI functionality that utilizes Salesforce Einstein Copilot. This capability delivers deep personalization for scoping estimates, ultimately creating a unified view of the client based on their requirements and account and delivery data.

To help improve the way accounting teams operate, Certinia’s release also offers a multitude of new accounting features to drive greater productivity, including a year-end playbook and templates to help close the financial year, automations for currency revaluation, new flexible cash matching to boost the efficiency of accounts receivable operations, and more.
