$90M fuels ChapsVision’s acquisition of AI-powered search vendor, Sinequa
ChapsVision, a leader in AI-enriched data processing, is announcing its acquisition of Sinequa, a global authority in AI-powered enterprise search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Along with a recent infusion of funds—totalling $90 million—ChapsVision’s acquisition of Sinequa will fuel the company’s growth, both in market presence and AI innovation.
Helping to put data at the heart of organizations’ digital journeys, ChapsVision’s AI and advanced data processing product suite unlocks actionable insights that power strategic decision-making. By leveraging an enterprise’s diverse datasets, ChapsVision accelerates and optimizes analysis, making information both usable and valuable.
Sinequa exists in a similar value space, offering cognitive search and AI agent capabilities that makes data more accessible and actionable, according to the company. With innovations both in AI and natural language processing (NLP), ChapsVision’s acquisition of Sinequa reflects the ever-present importance of extracting value from data with advanced technology.
ChapsVision will merge Sinequa’s technology into its ArgonOS platform, a data operating system that will now offer advanced search and data processing functionality for supporting customers’ digital journeys in manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, and aerospace and defense verticals.
“We are delighted to welcome Sinequa to ChapsVision,” said Olivier Dellenbach, founding CEO of ChapsVision. “Alexandre Bilger [CAO of Sinequa] and his teams have developed a unique generative AI-augmented research technology, lauded by analysts and used by the world’s largest companies for the most demanding use cases. This technology is perfectly complementary to our ArgonOS platform and will allow us to market a unique offer in the massive processing of data.”
The acquisition of Sinequa was made possible through ChapsVision’s third round of financing—having raised $90 million—led by Tikehau Capital, Qualium Investissement, Bpifrance, GENEO Capital, and Jolt Capital. This capital will also serve to accelerate ChapsVision’s international development, investments in R&D, and product enhancements, according to the company.
“Joining ChapsVision and becoming part of its strong growth represents a tremendous opportunity for Sinequa and our customers,” said Alexandre Bilger, chief architect officer at Sinequa. “Combining our expertise in AI and enterprise search with ChapsVision’s broad data intelligence portfolio creates unparalleled opportunities for clients of both companies to tackle the most complex data challenges with confidence.”
