Stack Overflow announces new Microsoft Graph connector, enhancing access to trusted enterprise knowledge
Stack Overflow, the company empowering developer communities to discover the information, answers, and learning opportunities they need, when they need them, is debuting a new connector for Microsoft Graph that makes content from Stack Overflow for Teams more accessible within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This integration unlocks the ability to index content in Stack Overflow for Teams, enabling enterprise teams to ask technical questions of their content and receive summarized responses directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Stack Overflow for Teams is an enterprise-grade knowledge sharing platform driving more productive, innovative workflows. With the new Microsoft Graph connector, Stack Overflow for Teams users can ask questions in natural language through Copilot regarding the content indexed by the connector. This helps reduce the inefficiencies of context switching between Stack Overflow for Teams and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, enabling developers to easily access trusted knowledge from their organization’s Stack Overflow for Teams instance, according to the company.
Responses generated by Copilot are transparent, accompanied by sources and links back to the Stack Overflow for Teams content.
“We know that developers spend far too much time looking for answers—and once they find them, researching whether those answers are accurate and reliable. This Stack Overflow connector for Microsoft Graph ensures that developers remain in their flow state, not needing to leave and search for knowledge, ultimately increasing productivity and speeding up innovation as they can trust the answers from their trusted Stack Overflow for Teams,” said Prashanth Chandrasekar, CEO Stack Overflow. “This integration is yet another example of Stack Overflow’s Knowledge-as-a-service vision becoming a reality—making trusted knowledge from Stack Overflow and/or Stack Overflow for Teams accessible wherever developers are in their workflow, including in GenAI tools, through an integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot.”
