Hyland’s latest enhancements boost content, process, and application intelligence

Hyland, the leading provider of unified content, process and application intelligence solutions and the pioneer of the Content Innovation Cloud, is announcing a series of new AI-powered enhancements designed to supercharge organizations’ data repositories. Offering new updates to Hyland Knowledge Discovery, Hyland Automate, Hyland OnBase, and Hyland Alfresco, Hyland’s release optimizes content, process, and application intelligence with AI.

"We continue to deliver on the unified Content Innovation Cloud roadmap and meet evolving customer needs by extending the value of their Hyland solutions," said Leonard Kim, chief product officer, Hyland. "Our latest product enhancements also support the importance of content intelligence and AI agents in content services—equipping organizations to better access and act on the insights hidden in their enterprise content, enhance data extraction, and intelligently automate critical business processes."

The first of these enhancements, designed for Hyland Knowledge Discovery, further empowers users to gain actionable business insights through the power of natural language. Bringing natural language queries, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to enterprise teams, users benefit from streamlined search that generates relevant, accurate information directly from enterprise content repositories. Additionally, with Agent Focus, users can refine search results by specifying metadata fields and applying dynamic filters. AI-generated content is further verified with transparent access to source documents and other information.

For Hyland Automate, Hyland is introducing new AI-enhanced features that make automation building more accessible to everyone. With an AI-powered chat interface, business users can use natural language to create Automated process workflows, accelerating time-to-value. Additionally, Hyland Automate now offers a new connector for OpenAI that enables features and settings from existing OpenAI/Azure OpenAI accounts, as well as an integration with Microsoft email to simplify email-based automation.

In the realm of content management, Hyland is releasing enhancements to its OnBase and Alfresco enterprise content solutions. OnBase Foundation 25.1 now delivers AI-driven insights with new, advanced tools, including scalable app-building capabilities that help tailor solutions and workflows for better operational agility, according to Hyland. With Alfresco 25.1, users benefit from the ability to manage the removal of content from legal hold, enabling them to archive or delete completed processes automatically, paired with access to Alfresco's extended event parsing library.
