Delivering XML content to the derivatives markets
DocGenix, a provider of legal risk management solutions for international financial markets, has deployed MarkLogic Server from Mark Logic to deliver XML content generated by the DocGenix inSight service.
That service uses proprietary legal data sequencing technology to translate complicated legal, credit and operational terms in agreements governing relationships between participants in global, over-the-counter derivatives markets. The documentation is based on the legal contract suite published by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). DocGenix delivers the XML generated from its legal data sequencing technology to its customers via Synopsys, a MarkLogic-based application, according to a recent press release from Mark Logic.
Michael Will, founder and CTO of DocGenix, says, “Given that XML is at the heart of our business, we required as our delivery mechanism a flexible and highly scalable XML server ... MarkLogic Server quickly became the obvious choice. Each contract converted by our inSight service contains thousands of data points that are central to a broad range of mission-critical operations, including credit analysis, regulatory stress tests, netting and collateral management. MarkLogic uniquely provides the capacity and performance we need to deliver this data to our customers at the superior levels of quality they have come to expect.”
