SaaS automated translation

Lionbridge and IBM have partnered to develop and commercialize GeoFluent, a SaaS translation platform that integrates Lionbridge’s cloud-based language customization solutions with a statistical machine translation engine developed in IBM’s Watson Research Center.

The companies say GeoFluent provides a real-time, secure SaaS solution based on proven technology that has been adopted successfully in large-scale commercial environments. GeoFluent is said to be easily customized and trained to reflect each organization’s business processes, languages and expertise, allowing enterprises to accelerate engagements with customers, partners and employees, and cost-effectively extend their global reach.

GeoFluent is available immediately for chat and Web applications and includes a full suite of services and support including language customization, integration into business applications and ongoing maintenance.
