A charity enhances its reporting system

Catholic Relief Services is using technology to improve operations so it can better deliver disaster relief to those in need. The organization has chosen a business process management (BPM) solution, TotalAgility from Singularity, to provide an enhanced reporting system to explain to major funders how their money is spent and what impact it has had.

Carol Bothwell, chief learning officer with CRS, says, “I know from my professional experience in the information technology sector just how important it is to have the right IT platform to drive your operations. With the TotalAgility BPM solution, we are convinced that we will be able to achieve substantial efficiencies, increase our capacity to raise funds and make service improvements. That will mean more people in desperate need will receive our support, more lives can be saved and more people will be assisted to have better and longer lives.”

CRS is deploying Singularity’s BPM Suite to create a project information management solution to enhance coordination of people and resources at all stages of its relief work. That includes identifying needs and interventions, outlining projects and objectives, seeking funds and other resources to make effective interventions, drawing up contracts, managing projects and reporting on outcomes to funders.

Singularity reports that one reason Catholic Relief Services chose its solution was its ability to integrate with the other software systems it uses, including SharePoint, Exchange, SQL Server and Office.
