Delivering a dynamic Web experience to readers

The Tampa Bay Times has chosen a new Web content management solution to deliver more personalized content to its website, including video, images, social media, mobile and surveys. The newspaper has selected Autonomy Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), TeamSite, LiveSite and Virage MediaBin products to provide the diverse content.

The newspaper had embarked on an initiative to deliver more dynamic and interactive content on its website. After evaluating various vendors, the Tampa Bay Times chose the technology from Autonomy, an HP company, because of its overall ease of use and its ability to deliver relevant, targeted content. Autonomy says its solution allows the Times’ editorial and marketing teams to quickly deploy video, images, mobile, social and other interactive content to the site.

Joe DeLuca, publisher of tampabay.com and Tampa publisher of the Times, says, “The publishing industry is going through a period of profound change. We understand that to continue to lead in the digital age, we need to deliver news and information to the public in a helpful, innovative and engaging manner. Autonomy will play a central role in our process of re-imagining the entire look and feel of our Web presence, and the technology provides the ideal platform to help us evolve and expand.”
