Ektron releases Version 8.7

Ektron has released Version 8.7 of its namesake Web content and digital experience management platform.

Key new features include:

Responsive design support for mobile. Marketers can visually lay out responsive pages that automatically adapt for desktop or mobile visitors and instantly see how they will look across devices. Further, V. 8.7 provides native support for frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap so that developers can take advantage of the latest in responsive Web design.

Support for Amazon EC2. Ektron’s new Cloud Manager supports Amazon EC2 as well as Microsoft Azure, providing wizard-based auto-provisioning of Ektron sites in the cloud.

Editor enhancements. An improved architecture for extensibility, integrated installation, predefined styles for image management, the ability to create HTML bookmarks in content, external content embedding and Section 508 validation and compliance for website accessibility.

Expanded SharePoint support. Enhanced SharePoint integration allows Ektron customers to easily put SharePoint metadata on their website. Further, when SharePoint content is deleted, the content is also automatically deleted in the Ektron CMS.
