AvePoint upgrades DocAve Online with Service Pack 1

AvePoint has introduced DocAve Online Service Pack 1, its cloud software platform for organizations using Office 365. DocAve Online now includes Exchange Online backup and recovery, extending the product’s granular backup to data living in Exchange Online such as calendars, contacts, e-mails, tasks and archived Microsoft Lync conversations. AvePoint explains this data will be backed up to Azure, Amazon (S3), Rackspace or any other storage location accessible over secure file transfer protocol (SFTP). The ability to granularly restore content is also available, allowing organizations to restore an employee’s contacts or calendar items without accessing their inbox.

AvePoint says DocAve Online improves operational efficiency and simplifies governance and compliance policy enforcement with its ability to centralize settings, configurations and permissions across Office 365 hosted SharePoint sites. Other key features include simplified replication and synchronization of content; customizable scheduling; and the ability to copy, move, migrate and restructure SharePoint sites, content and configurations within or across SharePoint sites, while preserving all associated permissions and metadata.
